MoMA's rich and varied collection constitutes one of the most comprehensive and panoramic views into modern art in the world, and has grown to include over 135,000 paintings, prints, photographs, drawings, sculptures, films and design objects. Recently reopened after a dramatic renovation, The Museum of Modern Art is now 630,000 square-fett, nearly twice the size of the former facility, offering dramatically expanded and redesigned spaces for exhibitions, public programming, educational outreach and scholarly research.
The gallery building now houses the main collection and temporary exhibition galleries. The lobby will offer expansive views of the Rockefeller Sculpture Garden and a light-filled atrium that soars 110 feet above street level.
