Information
Your day starts with a relaxing train journey to the historic City of Liverpool, chosen to be European Capital of Culture 2008. You'll travel through the Midlands passing canals, market towns, then pass by the industrial heartlands of England, the engine room of the Industrial Revolution.

Arriving at Liverpool Lime Street, you'll have time to explore this Victorian City: - stroll along the world-famous waterfront admiring the stunningly refurbished Albert Dock Complex  housing the Merseyside Maritime Museum and the Tate Liverpool.  These beautifully restored dock warehouses are now home to a dazzling collection of bars, cafes, restaurants, shops and other unique attractions.  Your tour includes tickets to The Beatles Story, where you can experience the most sensational story the pop world has ever known!  Re-live the Fab Four's meteoric rise to fame where you'll be taken from the cobbles of Matthew Street and the Cavern Club, through the hysteria of Beatlemania finishing up on the Apple rooftop and beyond!

The Cavern Quarter is a vibrant city centre area at the focus of Beatle history - there's the Cavern Club, where the lads played 292 times, and the actual pubs where the Moptops drank during the early 60s.  Also worth visiting is the impressive circular Roman Catholic Metropolitan Cathedral of Christ the King, a real City landmark.

Options for lunch in Liverpool are many and varied and you'll be spoilt for choice among the top quality bars, restaurants and cafes in the City centre.

In the afternoon your 'Magical Mystery Tour' is waiting to take you away!  This two hour tour takes you round all the landmarks in the lives of the Fab Four including their homes, schools, birthplaces, Penny Lane, Strawberry Fields and many other significant spots.
